The annual Stokes Valley Christmas Parade, organised for decades by the Stokes Valley Rotary Club, leaves the intersection of Kamahi St and Stokes Valley Rd at noon. More than 2000 people a line Stokes Valley Rd for Santa's arrival about noon on Saturday.
About 25 floats from local schools, groups, sports clubs, the fire brigade and churches will make up the parade, with Santa at the rear. The parade ends at Scott Court. There will be prizes for the best floats.
Stokes Valley's annual market day and entertainment at Scott Court starts earlier in the day at 9.30am and provides local groups the opportunity to fundraise through stalls. It will finish about 2pm.
